Description
Security is a prominent concern for today's executive and
management teams. Over the past decade,
there has been significant focus and investment in network security. At the same time, organizations have moved to
web-based applications to help efficiently serve their customers, their
partners, and their employees. We are
now in a situation where most of the attacks are directed at web applications,
and web application security is becoming a C-level concern.
In the first portion of our seminar, we will explain the
web application security landscape as well as demonstrate and explain the kinds
of hacks and attacks that are commonly used by hackers to exploit web
applications. We will cover common security threats such as those outlined by
security organizations including OWASP, SANs Institute and WASC.
We will conclude our presentation with an overview of the
business implications resulting from application layer security threats. We
will also discuss the safeguards that your organization can take to better
secure your business.
